WWF Rules & Processes

Hi. I’m a very process-oriented guy. These processes were designed to be relatively impartial, however, they are not perfect, nor are they “set in Stone” (pun intended). I’m certain they will change in the future. I already changed these processes countless times before I even began to put these matches up for public consumption.

Divisions & Groupings

Wrestlers are divided into two groups: Singles and Tag Teams. Being in one group does not exclude you from the other, however, a wrestler can be in only one tag team (well, except for the Conquistadors and Shadows… there’s one guy that was in both… so… whatever, I make the rules).

Singles

Singles World Division: World Champion + 8 wrestlers. Tourney for Title Shot. Quarter-Final losers (4) have Relegation matches.

Singles InterCon Division: Intercontinental Champion + 8 wrestlers. Tourney for Title Shot. Quarter-Final losers (4) have Relegation matches to move down. Quarter-Final winners (4) have Relegation matches to move up.

Singles Development Division: Four groupings of 8 wrestlers. One elimination match per group. Winner has Relegation match to move up. First eliminated is moved to On Hiatus. Should be 8 guaranteed wrestlers, remaining 24 are randomly selected from wrestlers that are NOT On Hiatus.

Singles Local Gym Division: 16 wrestlers that were not selected for Development. Compete in one singles match. Winner goes to Battle Royal. Top 4 in Battle Royal automatically move up to Development Division. Bottom 4 are moved to On Hiatus.

Singles On Hiatus: These wrestlers do not compete for this month. After one month, they are taken out of On Hiatus and are eligible for Development or Local Gym placements.

Tag Team

Tag Prime Time Division: Tag Team Champions + 8 tag teams. Tourney for Title Shot. Quarter-Final losers (4) have Relegation matches.

Tag Development Division: 8 tag teams. One match only. Winners (4) have Relegation matches to move up. Losers (4) have Relegation matches to move down.

Tag Local Gym Division: 8 tag teams. One match only. Winners (4) have Relegation matches to move up.

Relegation Matches

I prefer having wrestlers and tag teams relegate to other divisions based on merit. If they lose they have to fight to stay where they are, if they win they can move up. Relegation keeps the divisions in relatively constant flux.

Singles

World Relegation: Losers of Quarter-Finals (4) vs. Winners of InterCon Quarter-Finals (4). Winners placed in World Division. Losers placed in InterCon Division.

InterCon Relegation: Losers of Quarter-Finals (4) vs. Winners of Development Elim Matches (4). Winners placed in InterCon Division. Losers placed in Development Division.

Development Elim Matches: The first wrestler to be eliminated from each Elimination match (4) are moved to On Hiatus for a month and are not eligible for random selection / placements.

Local Gym Matches: Winner of each singles match is placed in a Development Battle Royal (not the same as the Elimination matches). Top 4 in the Battle Royal are moved to Development Division. Bottom 4 are moved to On Hiatus for a month and are not eligible for random selection / placements.

Tag Team

Tag Prime Time Relegation: Losers of Quarter-Finals (4) vs. Winners of Development matches (4). Winners placed in Prime Time Division. Losers placed in Development Division.

Tag Development Relegation: Losers of Development matches (4) vs. Winners of Local Gym matches (4). Winners placed in Development Division. Losers placed in Local Gym Division.
