The Whitby Report – August 2, 2019

Today is Friday, August 2, 2019. I am your host Stone and this is The Whitby Report.

Wow, it’s already August 2. This month has been flying by!

Weather
Currently it is 22°C (with humidex: 24°C) and we are expecting to reach a high of 25°C (feeling like 28°C). It’s going to be sunny all day long. No clouds in sight. Yet another day of getting the kids outside and playing. Not with their tablets or phones. Bikes, playgrounds, running around playing tag. That’s the good stuff

Stone’s Take
So, yet again we have another collision in this area. It’s been rife with accidents over the years; I remember the truck driver that fell asleep and plowed into stopped traffic back when the 412 was being constructed.

Honestly, there is no real ‘basket-weave’ here; it’s not difficult to navigate the highway and on/off ramps. This is a simple matter of paying attention. I know there have been many times where I thought I was going to be rear-ended and brace myself. I look in the rear-view and basically have a third person sitting in my back seat; they’re that close to me.

Thankfully no one was killed this time.
