It’s a beautiful day in the neighbo… whoops. Can’t say that or else the copyright (money) police will come get me. What I can say is that it was another beautiful day in Whitby. It was a cool day, no rain and we had a high of 19°C. It’s currently 17°C feeling like 16°C. What? Yes! Wind Chill! Summer is not even over yet!

Local man fulfills lifelong dream by making his own garden and planting seeds. The man in question, who shall remain nameless, knows that it’s very late in the growing season, especially here in Whitby. With temperatures in the teens now, he knows he’s going to be lucky if he sees anything grow.
“I’m determined to try. It’s great practice for the spring.” he said. “The kids helped with the dirt a LOT. There is no way I could have done all that on my own.”
Fortunately, the forecast for the rest of the week is supposed to be generally warmer than what we’ve had this past weekend. Perhaps he will have a little lady luck run his way and get one or two things growing quick enough to be harvested before the first frost.
