Currently it is 16°C, feeling like 14. The current forecast has isolated thunderstorm warnings in effect for the Whitby area. Boy, they were not kidding.
Local News
No actual news to speak of other than the freak hailstorm that blew through here today. We knew we were going to get some rain for sure today as isolated storms but we had a really strange one come through here during the after 1pm.
It got dark real quick, poured like crazy and then started to hail. Nothing too big or damaging, mind you, but still so strange to see it come on through so quickly. Just as suddenly it was gone. The hail stopped. The rain stopped. The dark clouds were still there but the sun peaked out and brightened everything up instantly.
It was quite remarkable.
