The Whitby Report – October 10, 2019

Today is Thursday, October 10, 2019. I am your host Stone and this is The Whitby Report.

The Garden Report
I checked on that garden every 45 minutes or so until about 3:30am. Not a single hole was dug. I’m unsure if my presence spooked the raccoon (or whatever it is) or the animal has just moved on (I doubt it). In anycase, I will continue my vigil tonight and report back on any findings. Tomorrow we are due to harvest the radishes; I’m really looking forward to seeing how well they’ve grown.

It was a beautiful day today as we reached a high of 17°C. Tomorrow is supposed to be a bit warmer!

Local News
Today, the candidates debate for Whitby was released by Rogers Public Access Cable. It’s been posted to YouTube and subsequently linked here as a side item. In order of seating, the candidates represented were Brian Dias (NDP), Todd McCarthy (Conservatives), Dr. Paul Slavchenko (Green), and Ryan Turnbull (Liberals).

It was good to see the debate and hear the candidates speak. I was leaning a particular way, however, I’m now torn between two parties. This debate solidified my thoughts on two particular parties, now I just have to think about just who it is that’s going to get my vote.
