On Thursday I participated in the 6th Icecrown Challenge. I’d have to go back and check but I’m pretty sure this was either my third or fourth time running the Challenge. Before that I didn’t really do much on the twitterverse and most definitely was not involved in the podcast world very much.
What is the Icecrown Challenge? It is a World of Warcraft based challenge run by @WarcraftCares. Bring any character that can complete the Icecrown Citadel raid on any difficulty and time your run from the entrance to the Lich King’s demise. If you get a time of 21:31 the suggested donation is $21.31, however, you are certainly free to donate any amount you want.
Oh, sorry, you don’t play World of Warcraft? That’s no problem. You can simply go to the site and make a donation.
Your donation will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. But Stone, you’re not American! Yep. I’m Canadian. I won’t be able to claim this on my income taxes (I don’t think) but that doesn’t bother me. The cause itself is what drives me to participate as I’ve lost my half-brother back in 2003.
If you have 20 minutes, please hop on and try the challenge for yourself. Don’t have the time, please consider heading over to http://bit.ly/icecrown6 and making a donation.
