I’ve written a few addons to help me play WoW in a few of my endeavours. Why are these not on curse? I dislike the general public.
Retail or Classic? Both of these addons were intended for Retail / Modern WoW, not Classic WoW.
Classic Rares
Whether leveling as a WoW Challenge character or just leveling up a new alt, this addon will tell you where all the rares are in your zone. If you have TomTom already, it will give you arrows to the closest Rare. For this particular addon, I used the old Draenor Rares HandyNotes addon and had to re-write it to handle Blizzard’s new uiMap id and plugged in all the coordinates for the Rares (NOT ELITE RARES).
This addon REQUIRES the main HandyNotes addon to function. Just stick this in your top level Interface/Addons folder like all the rest of your addons and it should be good to go.

Void Talon
While I’m not using this particular addon any longer, it is based on the Classic Rares addon, however, it’s sole purpose is to show you ALL locations for the Portal to get the Void Talon mount. It’s an exceptionally rare mount to begin with and I’ve noticed the Draenor Rares HandyNotes addon actually had false locations.
The locations built into this addon relies on the data collected by the WoW Secret Finding Discord Group. It uses both confirmed locations (purple skulls) and unconfirmed locations (yellow skulls) so you can decide for yourself if you want to bother with checking all of the spawn points out.
Again, this addon REQUIRES the main HandyNotes addon to function. Just stick this in your top level Interface/Addons folder like all the rest of your addons and it should be good to go.
